The cost of accommodation in 2026 is being held at the same prices as 2025 with the Migration Special in October. The Observatory will be open from 20th May to 31st October 2026.

We can offer accommodation to guests with special access or mobility requirements on the ground floor.
All quoted prices are per person per night. We offer far more than just a hotel room with food. Prices are inclusive of pick-up and drop-off from the plane or boat, full-board meals (breakfast, light lunch and evening meal – set menus and times), comfortable lounge and comprehensive library, access to in-house ornithological expertise and Ranger Service, access to our bird news WhatsApp group, bird ringing demonstrations, and occasional entertainment events such as music, quizzes, talks etc.
A non-refundable deposit of 10% of your total bill is payable when confirming your booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before your visit. We would prefer you to make a bank transfer to reduce our transaction costs, but you can also pay using PayPal.
Special offer in late October 2026
Due to room availability at the end of the season, we are running a special price of £99 per person per night for stays of 7 nights or more between 15th-30th October, available on both single and twin rooms. This is a key time for extreme rarities - Rufous-tailed Robin, multiple Siberian Rubythroats, Chestnut-eared Bunting have all turned up in that fortnight.

Prices 2027
All-inclusive prices for stays at the Observatory guest house in 2027 are detailed below. Prices are per person per night (pppn) and include all meals and much more (see 'What's included' below). Special discounted rates now apply to stays of seven nights or more throughout the season, with the largest reductions available for two guests sharing a twin room for 7+ nights. The guest house will be open from Monday 26th April to Tuesday 26th October 2027.

Notes
What's included - The price of your stay includes far more than accommodation and meals. It covers transport from/to your arrival/departure point (plane or boat), full‑board dining (breakfast, light lunch, and a set evening meal), use of our comfortable lounge, well-stocked bar and extensive library, access to in‑house ornithological expertise and guided walks by the Ranger, participation in our bird‑news WhatsApp group, joining bird ringing demonstrations, and a programme of occasional social events such as music nights, quizzes, and talks. Most importantly, your stay directly supports the Observatory’s ongoing scientific research into seabirds and migration. All prices are quoted per person, per night.
Discounted rates - Our discounted rates are offered exclusively for non‑commercial bookings.
FIBO may update its prices from time to time, but any confirmed booking will always be honoured at the original rate.
Weather disruption - Any extra nights required due to weather disruption will be charged at the appropriate pppn rate. Any nights cancelled due to weather disruption will be subject to a retention of 10% of the pppn fee to cover food and administration costs.

Student discount 25% off non-discounted prices on production of a valid current student card or proof of full-time education. Cannot be used in combination with Islander discount (below). Three night minimum stay.
